The foundation can also assist units and Family Readiness Groups (FRG’s) with their FRG Funds by establishing local TXNGFSF Limited Fundraising Groups. These limited fundraising groups will be able to enjoy the benefits of being a sub-group of the TXNGFSF non profit 501c(3) organization. Once a groups is setup they will have the ability to fund raise as a non profit 501c(3) organization and the funds will be earmarked for the specific group (unit or FRG), this will eliminate the need for a checking account to be established and maintained. The foundation can assist with record keeping, thank you letters and correspondence as well as training. The foundation requires that 20% of the funds raised be given to the foundation to be used for the benefit of the entire foundation ( i.e. grants, loans, deployment and homecoming ceremonies etc.). As a reminder the foundation does not have paid employees, everyone is a volunteer and all donations are used to support Texas National Guard units (Army/Air), and service members and their families.
